The Pacific Bridge Legacy
In the early 1930's, a Hawaiian-born insurance agent named L.T. Kagawa recognized an unjust imbalance in the premiums being paid by ethnic minorities as opposed to Caucasians purchasing the same coverage. At the time, the insurance options for people of color were limited, and many could not afford the higher premiums required to protect themselves and their loved ones. Through hard work and determination, Kagawa persuaded industry leaders to change that discriminatory practice and set into motion a tradition of ideals that thrive to this day at The Pacific Bridge Companies.

The ideals and achievements of L.T. Kagawa were carried on by Kagawa’s son, Siegfred “Sig” Kagawa, who received numerous awards and recognition for his accomplishments and dedication. He became one of the highest producing agents for Transamerica Occidental Life, and was named Insurance Professional of the Year. His skills and reputation helped his company to expand, and the roots established by L.T. and Sig Kagawa at the center of the Pacific continue to serve The Pacific Bridge Companies and its ongoing commitment to bring financial opportunities to clients all along the Pacific Rim.
